To lash or not to lash?

Firstly, always lash. Jokes aside, lashes do tend to enhance the eyes in photographs.

What type should I pick?

There are so many different types of lashes. The key things to remember, are the look and feel of them, as well as the removability. There are different lengths of individual or ‘flare’ lashes, which can be applied on the day as an alternative to lash extensions. The glue used is not the durable lash extension glue and can be washed off with your event makeup. Some micellar water, your normal face-wash and some lukewarm water will wash them off. It is advised that strip lashes be cleaned off with makeup remover and a makeup flannel soaked in warm water.

Lash extensions?

I love lash extensions! They look great when done well and maintained properly. Although, when they are not cared for and all gummy with old glue…it is never a good look. A clean, fresh lash-line makes your makeup look sharp and gorgeous. I clean off the eyeshadow fall-out with oil-free micellar water, and apply waterproof mascara only on the bottom lashes. My clients always ask me if lash extensions damage their natural lashes. I have noticed that when clients do not fiddle with or pull out their lashes, their lashes are still pretty thick.
